Masmadaming Fortuner hater dito ma'am. Believe me. You just have to stomach whatever. Ang importante is what you think. As a Fortuner owner, I have nothing bad to say about the Monty. I'm not really after bells and whistles. Basta umaandar with no major problems and easy to maintain, okay na ko. Two years and 20+k kms, no problems so far. Busted bulb lang.

Tip: Medjo madaming Hyundai fanatics dito. Even my friends who are lurkers and Hyundai owners take notice.

yes mas madami fortuner haters kesa montero sport. actually isa na ako sa fortuner haters since madalas yan ang mga bully sa kalsada tapos mga naka fake HID na super lakas parang flashbang. di naman lahat ng fortuner owners ganon pero karamihan lang parang mga SiR fanboys.

OT: Just wanna share.

I would never forget this Fortuner. Why? Coz the driver of this car was so inconsiderate in NLEX with high beam and changing lanes without even signaling. We were on our way to Clark for the 2012 Philippine Hot Air Balloon Festival very early in the morning. There was a part in NLEX that got a bit busy and I was the last car on the overtaking lane and here comes this car with very bright lights. Then maybe the driver wanna get ahead, switched to right lane then when a slow truck was nearing his Fortuner, suddenly cut me just to get in front without signaling. Well to get even, I also put my bright lights on. Then the impatient driver just kept driving like that trying to overtake everybody but the line was really looking and space was tight and always ends up in front of me. The overtaking lane finally got free and the driver just floored it. It was still early and I didn't feel the need for speed.

When we got near the parking entrance of the festival, cars were on queue and suddenly my girlfriend shouted and told me that a Fortuner fell in the ditch. We were about 3 to 4 cars behind. Then we saw 2 women alighted the vehicle shouting and sort of laughing. Then when we passed it, we both recalled that it was the same Fortuner who was driving like an ass in NLEX.

Because of too much rush, the driver miscalculated that turn and turned right very early that resulted to that. It was still dark when it happened, I think around 4:30 to 5am then when we left around 9am, it was still there.

It's probably the driver that they hate more than the car.

I've got a friend who's a terrible Montero hater. He hates the ride. He hates the lack of guts from the 3.2 liter engine. He hates the cramped interior. He hates the dull handling.

Sobrang hater. That's why he owns one.

The Montero Sport is a good truck, but there are trucks that do some things better.

^Never knew that there was a Montero Sport haterzzz issue until this thread came about.

Aside from the smoke in some units i've seen (it's still a 4D56 at heart indeed), my only gripe with the Monty Sport is it everywhere! Go to Trinoma or check out a townhouse or condo complex and you'll see a Monty Sport in every other parking slot.

Agree ako dito for Monty at Fort. Mas proliferate and sellable. Less features, and puro facelifts pero di napagsasawaan at least for now.

The thing is... wala naman Montero Haterzz AFAIK.

But yes, I'm not comfy with the seats (i find the leg support too short)... nothing a set of Recaros can't fix. :D
