It can be income generating din naman bro unless you want to have it as a rest house / weekend destination.

My aunt recently bought a beach property in Mindoro, location is not that commercialized / developed, isa pa lang ang resort doon sa area.

There is a Meralco post (concrete) sa barangay namin napansin ko tilted na siya, I feel baka bumagsak or maputol.

Meralco pa din ba dapat mag replace nun?

The problem is andame naka-kabit doon sa poste.
Telcos / cable providers.

If ever will meralco also be the one transferring those?

True...the maintenance and headaches are serious items for consideration.

Though the memories and romance of it all is also very intriguing. Calatagan has PLDT Fiber. So puede.....

Am thinking either Lian or calatagan.

Meralco pa din ba dapat mag replace nun?

the entity that put up the poste is the entity responsible for maintaining and/or replacing it.
but someone has to take pains to report it.

meralco just finished replacing the tilting wood poste in our neighborhood.
they replaced it with a galvanized poste.
first time i saw such poste type...

day 1 was putting up the poste.
day 2 was re-positioning the wires.
hassle sa amin. we had to enter thru the tighter, other end of the street.
when i came home on the night of day 3, the old wooden poste was gone, with the base cemented over. i do not know if they pulled it out, or they cut it down.

In the PH, the weather is warm year-round. If living at the beach, the hotter the better because the afternoon sea breeze is stronger. I have relatives there who lived at beach front property right by the water's edge. Definitely worth it. Of course, they had their own businesses nearby and didn't have to make the daily commute to the city.

The hot and humid climate was my biggest gripe over there. So, it's natural some of my best memories there were spending time at relatives' homes. The sea breeze was pleasant. It was also strong enough that people flew giant kites that hummed with the breeze. Anyone remember those?

Nope. Hinde nila papakialaman yun mga ISP or mga cables na nakakabit. Iiwan lang nila yan. Hinde nila pwedeng galawin dahil hinde sa kanila mga ibang nakakabit.

I was thinking 3 days in the beach and 4 days in the city. Guaranteed 2 WFH days moving forward so it can be done.

Just need fiber. Though am not sure about the cost. I dont want anything fancy..but needs to be sturdy and easy to maintain and decent.

And has to be beach front. Thats the kicker....

i don't think we Philippine city dwellers go to the beach for change of temperature since as you said the temp is basically the same

Don't forget (high and low) tides and protection from storm surges/floods. Not an easy search.

Been scouring lamudi and fb marketplace.

Google maps (satellite view) is amazing for checking the locations. I know alot more now from san juan, batangas, laiya, Lian, Lobo, calatagan, mabini anilao, matuod, matabungkay, all the way up to Tali beach in nasugbu

sa laiya batangas i saw the difference between high tide and low tide

during high tide ung abot hita ang tubig naging totally dry sa low tide

last year pumutok taal volcano so stay away around tagaytay, cavite, batangas na nadale ng ashfall. Ilan nagbitak lupa and the dreaded sinkhole.

Dream lang pa naman. But actively looking for good deals.

I have a property in anilao that i bought 20 years ago when i was still single. Bought it from a fisherman whos family i still keep in touch with.

But the beach is not conducive for the kind of life i want there... so am selling it (there was a buyer who did soil test na this week) and hoping to use the proceeds to fund this dream.

If sale falls thru will just build in anilao. Ayan lang daming clearing kailangan gawin.

How much does it cost to clear a roughly 2,000 sqm sloped property with lots of trees? This is my existing property in anilao.

Maybe i will just clear it, landscape and put a small concrete cottage there and plunge pool. Budget talaga hehe.
