Tinting the glass really does make a big difference. I mean, I've owned vehicles that had dark tint. But, the driver side tint on all of them weren't that dark. The one on my current car is the darkest (legal too) one yet and it does a good job of keeping away the heat and sunburn. The good folks at the Toyota dealer know their stuff.

For cabin heat reduction, simplest way is to choose the tint w/ the highest TSER (total solar energy rejected) value of least visibility impairment. The value covers Infrared & Ultraviolet & Visible Light.
For privacy....the darker, better.[emoji41][emoji4]
