Trump keeps saying the US is losing due to globalization

Yes China benefited greatly from globalization by becoming the world's factory but US companies benefited greatly from that too

For example: Apple's huge profit margin is made possible by outsourcing production to China

it costs only 300-400 dollars to make an iphone and Apple sells it for $1000+

That profit margin wouldn't be possible if iphones were made in the US

Globalization lowered cost for US companies which translated to huge profits

US companies outsourced jobs to countries like the Philippines where labor is cheaper

Globalization gave rise to the BPO industry which benefited the Philippines

win win diba?

But Trump has a zero sum world view

to him there is no such thing as win win

to him there are only winners and losers

if others countries are getting rich, that means America is losing

so he wants to reverse globalization and that's going to kill the global economy

Went to the DMV yesterday and noped myself out of there. I was complaining a lot about how everything is so empty in my Aunt's area, pag pasok ko DMV, wow it's like LTO Philippines but kinda worse with the snaking lines.

Hindi naman lahat ng bahay dito malalaki. Mas maganda pa nga sa Pilipinas e solid cement at bato mga bahay. Dito ang ninipis ng walls.

Oo nga e. Ayoko kasi CA daming pinoy pero nakaka depress pala dito sa chicago suburbs parang ghost town, sa DMV lang matao haha. Next year mag CA na ko. Na trauma din ako sa flight na pagka haba haba.
