During my last PMS I showed my casa mechanic the peeling clearcoat of my headlights. They took pictures and said they'll ask the head office about it. About a month later they called, asking me to schedule a visit with them as my replacement headlights had arrived. Not bad--I assumed they would just polish and re-coat my original headlights.

When they were installing my headlights, I also asked to check the engine supports as there seemed to be extra vibration in the cabin in the last couple of months (I would hear my coins rattling in one of the cupholders). Same deal, they said they's ask with the head office. Again, I thought they'd just be tightening or repairing the original part, but last week they asked me to come back for the warranty replacement.

I'm wondering, is it easier and/or more profitable for casas to replace parts under warranty vs to repair them? I didn't shell out any money for this, except tip for the mechanic.

It's really nice when a person tells me he or she will be "silent" because of so and so. Just now I'm chatting with my friend and he told me that he has a 5 pm meeting and will be back after. Or when a person says matutulog na siya. It's really the polite thing to do, hindi yung kausap mo bigla na lang hindi na magre reply (though sometimes I am guilty of that )

I think people like that are raised well.

Did you give cash to the driver ba? When I use my card, I don't pay for the toll, it's included in the bill

^^today I learned that a great majority of UK police are unarmed.

Due to very strict gun laws and implementation (Galing!) regular UK police do not require guns to perform their duties. Their armed officers are equivalent to "specially trained" aka SWAT units and are called upon only when needed.

They are very professional and courteous too, compared to their US counterparts.
