Why some people have a cult-like adoration of their cars.

Sure, there's nothing wrong with acknowledging a good car. But some people aggrandize one car and disparage others, making it appear as if there's only one good option and choosing otherwise is ill-judged.

the car is an extension of the man.
criticize the car, and you in effect criticize the man's manhood and intelligence...

i once (twice?) criticized a man's car here, and the man came at me and was in essence challenging my opinion.. asking where i learned all my info...

it is funny, but when you criticize the man's house, the negative backlash does not seem to be there... so unlike when it's his car that you criticize.

life is interesting.

Fortunately enough sa ngayon, hindi masyado mahirap for those under me kasi meron talagang legit na nageexcel. Concerned ako sa lateral and upper teams na distribution. But I'm more concerned on my teammates who really struggle to excel.

It's so nice when I have relatives (my mom's side) from the PH who finally immigrate here. Now, I have someone I can stay with for free at Los Angeles.

Most of the relatives from my dad's side are scattered in the NW US and the east coast.

Perhaps because cars are one of the things that invoke a common passion... unfortunately not all have the same perspective on things.

You should have seen the fanboi fanaticism for the Civic SiR back in the late 90s.
