    Gin bulag, Jesus Christ hahaha! Very harsh on the throat, but it's available everywhere. That's what we used to get drunk on when budget was tight (month-end, no allowance yet).

    Mixing is ok, as long as you take the hard drink first, then wash it down with beer. Mixing them before drinking is a sure way to get drunk FAST lol!

    For me, drinking is all about the company as much as it is about enjoying the libations. Even if one drinks alone (like I mostly do nowadays) - I find that I enjoy MY company more than a lot of people's hehehe!

    He used to model kasi. I think they get a lot of free alcohol? I could never ever mix hard with beer. That's the only way to get me drunk. In my teens I could finish 1 bilog hehe. We only do that at his house

    1 whole bilog! I can't finish even the smallest one!

    On a related topic: I used to loooove Whistlestop's fried chicken skin as pulutan. Nowadays I have to make do with my tita's homemade chicharon (which is excellent, as far as pork rind chicharon goes).

    Bilog is the smallest kaya. Quatro Kantos the big one. Teenage body can take a lot of abuse.

    I've been to whistlestop in my teens but it seems more like a hangout for older people (20s) na hehehe. Padi's point in the 90s was decent and then over the years it deteriorated. They had good sisig.

    There's a mini-bilog, I think. We used to pair it with Red Horse when we wanted to get drunk on a budget

    Whistlestop is good, when you want to get away from the usual crowd.

    Padi's, never tried, don't know why.

    Another I remember is Ten Years After in QC. I used to hang out with a friend there. A bit noisy, but hell, you like noisy when you're young

    that's called beer-gin.. nilalagay namin sa plastic nang yelo ang Gin.. then ni freeze.. takes time for it to freeze..then yun ang ginagawang yelo sa red horse.. we used to do that 25 years ago.. hehehe

    Ooh mas maganda yung method nyo hahaha! Kami dati, gin+red horse sa pitcher, then add ice, then drink hanggang malasing hehehe!

    Oh my goodness. I'd be in a coma if I had that. Lalakas niyo uminom haha. I've never had red horse in my entire life.
