August 28th, 2007 11:11 AM #1Who's gonna look at the lunar eclipse tonight?
Just want to find out who's interested in this stuff?
fyi it's a total lunar eclipse, altho we will just see half of it, since I think it will start 2pm, obviously it won't be visible to us. hopefully the skies will clear up so we can see part of it, and the moon will exit the eclipse before midnight.
So moonless night ngayon, kaya mag-ingat kayo sa officemate niyo kung magbago ng itsura mamayang 2pm ;)

"In its astronomical diary for August, PAGASA said a total lunar eclipse will be visible in the country and other parts of the world on Aug. 28. The eclipse will begin as the moon enters the penumbral stage at 3:52 p.m. and the umbral stage will begin at 4:50 p.m. It will end at 9:22 p.m. The moon will rise at 6:08 p.m. and set at 5:16 a.m. the following day"

Yep, that's why I'm going home early to see if I can fire a few frames with my rusty but trusty old film camera to capture the moment. 'Hope the cloud cover recedes some.
