    Should I get a maid?

I live by myself. I need someone to cook, clean, do the laundry .... all-around.
I have an average paying job.

If you could afford a maid, why not! I would say go for it.

maybe part time , or somebody who just comes over to clean your house when you're there. since you're out to work most of the time baka maubos laman ng bahay mo pag wala ka. daming loko ngayon. di mo masabi baka matsambahan mo.

as for laundry madami naman laundry shops around. food...take out or better learn little by litle to cook simple dishes.

Btw, here are the new compensation rate for househelps:

P3,000 Metro Manila & other urban areas
    P2,500 2nd class municipalities & cities
    P2,000 All other areas

SSS should also be paid for by the employer.

IMO - just get a part-time househelp. Baka ma bored lang sya kasi.

if you have a brother or sister or a close friend perhaps na may maid, hiramin mo na lang for a day or two to do the laundry, ironing of clothes and cleaning. parang binigyan mo na lang ng sideline yung maid nila. yung co-worker ko naman, yung lady janitress dito sa office ang labandera/plantsadora niya tuwing weekends. minimum wage & libre meals na lang para daw makatipid kaysa sa stay-in na maid.

if you live by yourself she could also serve as "company" :naughty2: when you are lonely or going through a "dry period" :naughty2:

I agree on the part-time proposal.

If you're not in the house most of the time, huwag. Kahit innocente pa yan, magkakaroon ng sungay yan. I had a traumatic experience before - na influence ng maids ng kapit-bahay. Ayun nag wala after 6 months and she did things so despicable (e.g. having $ex with his BF (ex-secu namin) sa bahay), while my mom who was in the other room - bedridden, coma.

She and the BF liked the thrill daw. I kicked her out when I found out. Pucha, nag hanap pa ng abogado para takutin ako.

Hindi lang isolated incident ito. Nakapalit 3 to 4x na ito. Each have there own problem. In the end, parepareho lang sila.
