See, my wife and son are coming home to the PH for a near 1 month visit so we'd like to enjoy it as much as we can.

Now we are looking into booking an overnight resort with pool and beach around Luzon preferably within 5 hrs travel from Manila. Pagudpod and other northern places are out of scope.

Since it will be my whole, big family with their extended families we are all 18 adults plus 4 kids.
We don't need such a posh, 5-star (or 4-star) exclusive resorts because that also commands alot of moolah, and I don't have enough to start with.

Budget for the accomodation is up to P15,000 inclusive of entrance fee and overnight rooms. The cheaper the better.
We also plan on bringing in food, or if you could recommend a resort that does allow cooking of own's food.
Minor things like wifi access, cabled TVs, etc are not a necessity. We only need a comfy place to sleep during the night.

Let me know of your thoughts guy

What is a white beach resort?

    White sand beach like boracay?
Hmmmn since pagudpud is out of the equation.

You are left with batangas, morong in bataan, subic, zambales.

May white sand beaches ba dun sa mga province na yun?

The only white beach i've encountered in Luzon was Potipot Island in Zambales and Cagbalete Island in Quezon (and it was very spartan when i went there many years ago). Kung family thing, might be better to look for a beach house in Bataan, or try La Union and Pangasinan.

Edit: Was also gonna suggest Puerto del Sol in Pangasinan (or the nearby resorts).

Bolinao is the best white beach I have seen in my many trips around Luzon that is around 5-6 hours away from Manila. We did stay at Puerto del Sol which has a nice pool and accommodations, however the beach is not as good and it is a short drive away from Patar beach where the white sands are. The nearest resort I know at Patar is Treasures of Bolinao. It has a pool but not as nice as Puerto del Sol. If you have a car, I think that won't be an issue.

Tip: If you want good cheap food, look for the carinderia on the right side of the church at Bolinao town proper.

    How about the Hundred Islands?

You can visit a different beach (not powdery white though) everyday you are there.

PJ, Bolinao will be your another option. Travel time will be around 6 hours with stop overs. You can do it in 5 hours non-stop. As for the places to stay there, Puerto Del Sol is the high end. But there are other resorts there that are cheaper than Puerto Del Sol. Just choose the resorts near Patar Beach.

And oh, Patar Beach has no entrance fee but you can rent a cottage there.

Kabayan beach resort in Laiya, Batangas ang pasok sa requirements mo. 3 hours drive, Family cottages that allows cooking your own food, not so white beach and pool.

Thank you guys for the numerous replies

I've summarized them up and thoroughly checked their sites, and scoured for reviews online.
So far these are my verdict:

    BOLINAO
puerto del sol - too expensive for my budget plus they are already booked for the dates i'm interested.
treasures of bolinao - nice but I don't think they allow cooking/bringing of food

    LAIYA
villa sulit - no pool and cooking not allowed
    kabayan resort - no pool

    ZAMBALES
pundaquit luxury villa - small rooms, pricey when added up.
capones vista - ok sana for the price but not so much activities you can do

    BATAAN
coral view - rocky beach is a big turn off for me
waterfront - inquired, most likely to get
    sunset cove - no pool
camaya sands resort - still on the expansion phase, accepting day tour only

    CAVITE
caylabne - doesn't allow food. not as nice as it used to be

    NASUGBU
    munting buhangin - no pool
canyon cove - been here 2x na already
pico de loro - nice but pricey

Resorts we've been to, and planned on skipping them to try others:
    Canyon Cove 2x
    Balai Isabel
    Punto Miguel
    some resort in Matabungkay

We're still on the search but keep posting your suggestions. I really appreciate it!

may pool pa sa stilts, but maraming halaman sa beach. best beach for me within 3-4hrs drive from Manila is Cagbalete in Quezon, kaso you have to ride bangka pa around 50min to get to the island. No pool, no electricity on the island, some resorts open genset only at night.

Sayang beach dun, alot of people who go there leave their trash behind, expect it to have trash problem withiin 5 yrs time.

i posted a picture taken on cagbalete here, second to the last picture of my post

if you plan to go there please bring all your trash back to mainland, maskina sa pier na basurahan mo itapon, walang trash management sa island, resorts there hindi pa conscious sa environment nila, i dont know what they do to their trash. pag summer boatloads of people go there, lahat may dalang pagkain, bottled water or softdrinks, lahat yan iiwan dun

Still good. 98% well paved. Best route will still be NLEX, SCTEX, Tipo, Subic (Morong gate).

+ 1 on Cagbalete Island. Been there many years ago for a no-frills (no electricity) overnight stay. Another nice island was Potipot in Zambales.

I agree that a lot of fellow Pinoys don't know crap about cleaning up. When i was in Potipot Island, when we were packing up to leave and cleaning up, a person in the group who was waiting to take our spot said ba naman "kelangan pala maglinis"
