    for a long time i thought it was for convenience -- i.e. you can whip out your junior through the opening for a quick pee...but then it would be...painful

    my best guess would be for ventilation

    This is what my BF said. I saw it in the clothes line huh! My Lolo wears that type (white underwear with pocket, highwaist pa)so I always associate that as Lolo underwear. hehe.

    Isn't it some men's underwear have no hole?

    Ang purpose nyan is para sa residual na ihi na pumapatak pa after you pee. Ginawa lang overlapping yung tela and hindi na tinahi to save on cost kaya parang may butas sya.
