I would look funny in a muscle car.

BUt if you have the bod like Arnold S. with a matching bald head and good height, then i guess it would be OK.

yea. it really depends on if the pinoy can pull off the "sterotypical" of american muscle car owner - good height, good physique, but not necessarily bald.

I guess having a pinoy driving a stereotypical american muscle car does seem out of place. I often get interesting looks when I'm in the corvette. The car is so low, that when someone pulls up next to you on a stop light, they really can't see who is driving. I would often notice them creeping up the side of the car and as soon as they get busted looking and notice that the driver is asian, they have this bewildered look! Hey, ano ba! Pinoy's do have good taste in cars and not all asians drive rice rockets!

I agree with Silverbox.......way back before i came here....i was drooling at the 300zx-tt, 3000gt, eclipse, mr-2, etc......

Pag nakakakita ako ng mustang or corvette non.....i follow them para akong stalker....

when i moved here......all these kids are driving these japz cars....parang pare pareho na sila ng di na drive.....the day you customize your jap ride...meron nang libo na iba na kapareho mo na rin......so i thought..whats the sense of driving, customizing and trying to be different kung same din ang dina drive mo as with hundreds of thousand others....the worst thing is...customized din sila....but still look the same.....

so i thought.....to be different.....you have to drive something german......honda sells 300T plus units of civics, 300T+ units of accords a year (not to mention those other jap cars that sells hundreds of thousands a year)......oh ....i almost forgot...add the used car market.....that makes like 10 hondas every block in the US alone LOL......(no offense to anybody)

also....mas maingat mga german car owners IMO.....

when i go shopping, i park where nobody parks......where there's at least 10 vacant spots around me......i dont care if i walk a mile.....basta pagbalik ko...walang dents....walang scratch.....

kasi naman ang mga pinoy ay namulat talaga sa mga japs cars...like mitsu, toyota, honda, nissan atbp. so pag pumunta sa ibang bansa usually iyon pa rin ang taste. ika nga parang may allegiance pa rin.

i've never own a non-japs car. although gusto ko rin sana in the future. kanya kanyang taste lang yan. eventhough magaganda talaga ang ibang US muscle cars diyan pero i don't find them appealing....rice boys pa rin..hehehe

Please forgive me if this is off-topic from original question on this thread, but I do need some help from you pinoys in U.S.. But my question also starts with same phrase:

If you are a Pinoy in the US, specifically L.A., how would you send a small item (say, a hard disk for laptop) to the Philippines door-to-door? Iirc, a (pinoy?) company was mentioned here in tsikot forums sometime ago that does this without having to go thru the hassle of customs/taxes. I forgot the name of the company.

Yes, I do need to replace my kumander's HP Omnibook800CS's hard disk but we can't find a replacement here. The current type of disks don't work because the laptop is a very old model so we are asking her bro in L.A. to buy there. Buying a new laptop is not practical, besides the omnibook serves her very well.

I really need your help. Kindly tell me the name of the company or whatever suggestions you have to ship the hd.

    Thanks a lot!

quickest way is to just FTP the data on the CD. or send it through AOL IM. This would only work if you have DSL or cable interweb.
