My First Time in a Vehicular Accident

Share ko lang. Last Monday about past noon, on my way to work with my friend, palabas ako nang service road from Merville Pque in 20Km speed, traffic ang opposite direction, suddenly after passing a van, this stupid girl came barraging from the opposite lane without looking from side to side. Result, hit the front corner of my car!!!
Damn! i never been so frightened and shocked all my life!!! Naisip ko lahat agad, my family, my friends my career!!!
After those seconds of thought, got out of the car and check the girl. The tricycle driver who almost hit her helped. Found the girl sitting and crying. Got my composure and didnt panic. First thing i mentioned was "Nasaan ang p$%^ye#$%g mga magulang nito!" then check the girl, she was about 6 y/o and kinda thin.
A bystander who i assume know the girl brought her in an escenita. Gusto ko na sana umarangkada at takbuhan but my morals took place. "Wala naman ako kasalanan bakit ako tatakbo" i told myself and also mga witness na bystanders know who is at fault. My friend is pacifying me as well. After about 5 mins of waiting and knees shaking, the mother came with her. Sinabi namin na bakit tumatawid yung bata na walang kasamang mga magulang and to find out that she is only 6 years old! Katwiran ba naman eh nag bibihis daw sya at di nya namalayan na umalis yung anak nya, tapos kasalanan daw namin dahil kami yung may sasakyan muntik na ko pumutok buti na lang i'm cool and calm at naisip ko yung bata. Said to her that pwede pa nga kami ang magkaso sayo dahil ang batang below 7 y/o eh dapat may kasamang magulang sa kalsada, buti hindi na nagsasagot yung mother kundi ewan ko na lang...
To make long story short, dinala namin sa isang malapit na clinic. Found no imminent fracture. Medyo may gash lang sa forehead nang bata. Paid the clinic bill then binigyan ko na lang nang P200 for the medicines and left my number and address para pag may complications eh they can contact me. So far hindi pa ako kino contact. Badtrip talaga and sobra abala. May deadline pa naman ako that day and buti na lang mabait boss ko.
Doble ingat tayo mga tsikoteer dahil yun na nga, maingat na nga ako, natyetyempuhan pa rin. Haaay buhay....

sana naghanap ka ng pulis para may record na 6 yrs old lang ang bata. so kung sakaling mangulit eh may katibayan na walang kasama tumawid yung bata.

vehicle hitting a tao...kasalanan ng motorist automatic. yung magulang na pinabayaan yung 6 yo na bata to roam around busy streets...kasalanan ng magulang...you can file a complaint sa DSWD if you want.

Hello po Sir edzzz! Bute naman po all is well na.... I had a similar experience din way back in college.

I was driving at about 20kms/hr. when suddenly these two kids hand in hand were pulling each other on the side of the road to cross or not, tapos biglang nabitiwan nung isang bata yung isa then ayun, nawalan ng balanse yung isang bata at tumama sa right side mirror ko! Basag ang side mirror ko at napaupo ang bata sa tabi! I stoped my car, namumutla rin ako at di ko alam gagawin ko. Bute na lang kasama ko rin kaibigan ko tapos binalikan namin ang bata. Sabi ko dun sa batang kasama saan sila nakatira then pinuntahan namin yung bahay nila. Wala ang parents at ang nasa bahay lang yung ate. Dinala namin agad sa ospital with his ate kase nagdudugo yung mouth nya sa loob. I was crying in the hospital while the kid was having all the tests and praying na walang major damage sa kanya. Then the hospital personnel interviewed the sister siguro to ask if they are going to file charges against me.

Thank God they did not file any charge against me. Yung bata kaya pala nagdugo yung loob ng bibig kase bagong bunot ang ngipin. Naaggravate lang nung pag tama nya sa car and the kid's x-ray result was ok. I gave them my contanct details tapos hinatid ko na sila ulit sa bahay nila. Yung bata pa kamo pinagalitan ng magulang nya! Sabi ng parents nya sa kanya, "Batang ito! Pangalawang aksidente mo na yan sa kotse ah! Ang tigas kase ng ulo mo!" Ngek! Nagulat ako kase pangalawa na raw na aksidente ng bata! Humingi sa akin ng pasensya ang magulang at nagpasalamat at hindi ko tinakbuhan anak nya.

Hindi sila naghabol or humingi ng pera sa akin but I insisted on giving them some money. Swerte lang ako at napakabait nilang mga tao kahit mahirap lang sila. They did not take advantage of the situation. Ayun nakahinga rin ako ng maluwag after that! Oppps! Sorry po for the long post.

Bro, hindi naman siguro STUPID yung girl, especially since she's only 6 years old. You can't expect a child to have the intellect of a mature person na everytime na tatawid eh titingin sa kaliwa't kanan.

We were all kids once, and kung may pagkakamali man tayo nun, sa magulang ang blame, dahil hindi napalaki sa tamang paraan. Hindi lang siguro napagsabihan sa tamang pagtawid ng kalsada.

Anyway, nice to know that things turned out well.

Wow... the same thing happened to me a few years back. I was negotiating a speed hump when all of a sudden a girl ran across the street (I couldn't see her because of a parked bus) and she bumped into the corner of the vehicle.

I was too shocked to go out of my vehicle since I cannot see if the kid is hurt or something. Then all of a sudden, she stands up and runs across the street (again!) while crying. Humarurot na lang ako.

Good thing that you and the kid are ok bro.

A relative was in similar situation. He asked for my assistance and brought the kid together with her mother to the nearest hospital for check-up and x-ray. Then we gave money for the medicines. We're glad nothing serious happened.

I just advised my relative to be extra careful next time.

Siguro talagang tinakasan lang nya nanay nya... lamnyo naman mga bata bigla biglang tumatakbo. Buti naman at nde seryoso ang naabot nung bata...

Kaibigan ko same situation pero namatay po ang girl kasi speeding for 160 kph in the province. :sad:
