Columbariums within Metro Manila

Hi everyone,

Saan ba yung medyo OK these days? Yung accessible, maganda ang environment?

Are there certain columbariums that Tsinoys prefer?

All of them say forever na daw walang babayaran once you get a vault there...i can't shake the feeling that 20,30 years from now e bigla na lang maniningil ng maintenance fee yan. i mean, pag napuno na yan, how else are they going to generate income to pay for the building upkeep?

My Lola decided to purchase for our whole family when a new memorial park was built in the 90s. She just transferred her parents and my Lolo's parents but soon after we had yearly deaths in our family. Sabi mga tao malas daw pag bili ng Lola ko kasi parang pinupuno yung slots. Pero at least pag namatay ako hindi na ko mag iisip saan ako ililibing, unless I get married and my husband wants to stay in his side of the family. Hindi pala columbarium kasi ayaw ng family ko sa cremation, but this is regarding okay ba siya for investment.

BTT: Once pa lang ako nakapunta sa lalagyan ng urns and it's in Church (St Alphonsus) It's nice because you can always visit before or after mass.

not a good investment imho, memorial lots are still better. parang condo unit. ito yung tipong mahirap dumalaw kapag Nov. 1, kahit may aircon parang may sale sa dami ng tao tsaka hindi pwedeng mag-picnic

Yes, definitely. Mga millionaire na lang ang kayang magpalibing ngayon sa memorial parks sa metro manila. before nasa mga hundred thousand lang (mga 80's). ngayon sa province nasa hundreds of thousands na yung mga kilalang parks. Marami pa rin sa mga pinoy kahit may kaya kung kailan namatayan tsaka pa lang bibili ng lote.

Yung columbarium i'm sure di masyadong tataas ang value kapag marami nang nag-ooffer tsaka mababa pa ang acceptance ng cremation

You can also "check out" the urn during special occasions and bring it home for a fee.

That is the beauty of the columbarium and having the ashes in the urn. You can pull the urn out prior to Nov. 1, bring it home or some place for mass or rites, and put it back in after a few days. No hassle.

55k-65k price for a lawn lot in Forest Lake Davao City, expensive ba or just about right? Ano na ba ang rates pag provincial?
Wala nang available direct sa Forest Lake mismo. These are from owner sellers.
Also aside sa transfer fee,are there any other future expenses I should expect ?

Wala naman daw as per seller but I'll verify with the park opeartor. Additional fee Lang daw na babayaran ko is for the "transfer of ownership". Based din sa mga nabasa ko, may maintenance fees lang kapag may ililibing ka na.

I think my elders prefer the traditional way sir. Besides, it should be in Davao.
