April 4th, 2007 06:05 PM #5afaik... one of the most dangerous roads is a road in iraq (going to kuwait?). you need an armed escort to safely guide you and to repel any attack on your convoy.
another one is a highway in turkey (?). there are stories that on this 8-laner highway, the other vehicle on the opposite side would sometimes occupy ALL lanes when trying to outrun each other. btw, these are all trucks. hehe.
another is the alaska - canada road. you can only use it for certain days of the year and when usable, the drivers always have one hand on the door so that they can jump out anytime should their truck hit a soft spot in the road that can swallow the truck head.

Errr... that's nothing compared to some other Asian countries... we Filipinos always think that we are the worst country in the whole wide world.
Try visiting Vietnam for example. Hehehe. Lots of bikes without regards for others. Accidents are common especially in their roundabouts.

April 4th, 2007 07:15 PM #9isinama na rin nila ang Shaikh Zayed Rd.(Dubai), as one of the most dangerous road as 'per accident', almost everyday meron fatalities and dozens of minor accidents

April 4th, 2007 05:54 PM #10Yung sa Bolivia, may katapat yan sa atin noon. Yung Patapat Road/Langgangan Ridge. Eto yung route connecting Ilocos Norte and Cagayan Valley. Dumaan kami noon dito, grabe....nakakatakot at ang taas ng bangin. Halos di magkasya ang 2 vehicle pag salubungan.
