It is really hard to trust the works of other men, right? However, those are words that were written with inspiration from God. It is really up to people to believe or accept it. This is were faith really comes into test. If all things are certain in this world, everyone will be running over each other to believe in God. It is only when it is too late or the 11th hour that people would come knocking on the door of God.
Bweheheh... tinatamad na ako sumagot, paulit-ulit lang din naman usapan hehe
Pangpainit para kay sir coder at city...heheh... The Jews wrote this stuff and they are potrayed as a superior people cuz they believe they are the "Chosen" ones. Hangang ngayon they still think that way. Kaya tuloy ang isip ng mga Chritians they are also morally superior. And it took how many centuries and lives for them to figure out that it is not correct...Kaya labas na ulit yung popcorn :seesaw:

Nagbakasyon ata si sir city.
Sir niky, how do you know the Bible (writers and/or editors) are NOT inspired by the Holy Spirit?![]()
how sure are you *sir niky that it was only man who wrote the bible? have you every considered that it was God himself in the form (or impersonating) of a man/prophet, who wrote each verse/chapter of the bible, and he did the impersonation thingy all throughout the course of time ... :charing:
If so, the God needs a good editor to avoid all the confusion and interpretations of the "writings"...
there are a lot of bible versions: magandang balita, new international version, gideon, king james, etc. by yourself, you cannot descern what is the right one to believe in. although in general pareho sila pero in detail medyo naiiba.
you need to pray and ask the guidance of the Holy Spirit. upon praying, try to read each one of these version and you will know what is the right one for you.
peace.
what if the writings are really concise and uniform, sa translation and as you said, sa editing pumalpak. who speaks the old language pa ba ngaun?
how come there are 4 gospels? God narrates the NT in multiple perspectives. kumbaga parang 3-dimensional view of an object to clearly describe it more. but humans as we are, we still failed to interpret it.
sometimes kasi the true message is right under our noses, hindi mo na kailangan basahin pa verse after verse, compare message vs. message. read the bible as if it was a newspaper/magazine and as if it was written by the English media. some biased, some writing accdg. to their own style and background in life. well, I guess, people just need to develop that "reading" skill.
I do agree. You'd be surprised how fundamentalist or obessive Christians really behave at times! They make criminals look like puppies. I know that's an exaggeration but nevertheless it drives home the point. Also these few bad apple Christian that I encounter on a daily basis are in no way a true representative of the Christian population.
However you do need to believe and make Jesus Christ your personal saviour inorder to get to heaven. seriously.
As Charles Barkley would say...
Barkley was a Republican until recently, saying he switched parties when the Republicans "lost their minds." He said he is troubled by some of the actions of people in the United States in the name of religion.
"Religious people in general are so discriminatory against other people, and that really disturbs me," he said. "My idea of religion is we all love and respect. We all sin, but we still have common decency and respect for other people. So right now I'm struggling with my idea of what religion is."
