I've ranted enough about Pinoys looking down on other Pinoys in other posts. So, I'm not going to add anymore. I think we've brought ourselves down enough already.

But, it's a good thing this matter is being discussed. The first step to fixing a problem is acknowledging there is one in the first place.

As for being discriminated by other races........ When I travel, I tend to travel either alone or with my family. When I travel alone, I haven't had anyone move away just because I sat near or next to them.

Example is my ongoing trip....... At Amsterdam, I sat quietly waiting for my flight and a few Caucasian women sat next to me and the seats nearby. I just gave a cursory "Hi" and went back to watching movies on the PSP. I guess they either didn't see me as much of a threat or found me unsavory-looking.

Then, the gate for my flight changed and I had to move to another gate. This time I sat next to a Brit on my right. I knew because he asked me to watch his things while he bought a newspaper. On my left, was a tall Arab in full white gown(?) and headwear chatting away in his cellphone. Nothing untoward happened. We're all roadwarriors waiting for a flight.

I then had to hit the can and drop a load. When I got back, my old seat was taken. Looking around, the only seats open were at another gate where a large group of Africans were sitting. I didn't lose a beat. I went right in and sat among them. There I was, the only non-African in the group.....watching a video on my PSP.
