    So true!!!! In Beijing and here in Macau, whenever we receive guest comment cards, 90% of the time, they will mention our Filipino staff.

    Sabi nga sa mga blogs ngayon, if only our friendliness will translate to more dollars.......

    it is one impression a visitor never forgets. let us just remember always that, with our friendliness and politeness, let us not bring down ourselves to contempt. friendliness coupled with professionalism commands respect. there shld be balance, dignity as a people. many of our fellow filipinos, specially those beholden to the foreign culture extends too much hospitality to the point of depriving themselves of the treatment given to visitors.

    ang foreigner tuloy, umaabuso, kasi di naman tayo nagregeklamo..at ginagawa kahit labas na sa kontrata or agreement...o magreklamo man, parang naging mahina tayo tuloy, di na pinapansin. maging sa mga probinsya, sobrang kabaitan ang pinapakita sa mga dayuhan, ngunit sa sariling pamilya di naman yata ganun. gusto ko lang sana to keep dignity amidst poverty by showing respect and friendliness, but professionalism and respect shld be maintained. kahit mahirap ang karamihan, kung kagalang galang at naninindigan, may dangal at respeto pa din.

    I think the friendliness attitude towards foreigners is brought up by pinoys' insecurities to foreigners. pinoys think highly of them. Kesyo pag foreigner mayaman kaagad nasa isip ng pinoy etcc....
