Siyempre diyan sa Pinas!!! Nasimulan na namin ni misis na mag-invest sa maliit na farm sa Ilocos. Tabing ilog at ang beach ay sa next barrio lang. May nasimulan na kaming maliit na fishpond (puno ng hito) at piggery. Marami na ring ibang hayop na alaga (pang-pulutan hehehe). May nakatayo na rin na maliit na bungalow (2 bedroom) para bakasyonan namin. At kung sakaling may extra pera ay gusto naming magtayo nang bahay sa tabi ng fishpond at makakabili pa kami ng mga katabing lupain para malawak buffer zone sa paligid. The location is pretty good and sooner or later residential housing will spring up all over kasi easy highway access at malapit sa Hospital, Colleges, etc.. Dating magubat at hindi pinapansin itong kalahati ng lote kahit tabi ng main road, pero nang mabili namin at mapalinis, marami na ring nag-offer na bilhin sa amin. Asar nga si misis. Wala silang imagination kasi daan sila ng daan noon pero hindi makita ang potential. Hehehe!

Pagudpud is a mere 2 hour drive away too.

Ako naman gusto ko rin mag retire sa isang beach property either sa Bohol or sa Camiguin! Dami pa rin magagandang lugar doon na di pa nadidiskubre ng mga Pinoy... Wag maging dayuhan sa sariling bayan! (hehehehehe)

So long as it's me and my wife, I'll retire wherever she wants, even the Philippines at a beach resort somewhere.

But when/if the time comes I'm old and alone, I'll head back to northwestern Nevada and be with my daughter(s)* because that's the likeliest place they'll be at, among their cousins. It's also beautiful up there.
