    Firstly, it's shaped like bra and panties, only that women can use it on the pool and beach. Second, it can be worn in public.

    The issue here is the fact that bikinis cover the same (little) amount of skin as lingerie. Since its invention during the 50s or 60s, it got smaller and smaller. It may be ***y, but aren't the girls wearing this showing too much? Also, if they happen to wear a pure white or black one, it does look pretty much like lingerie from afar, doesn't it?

    Ummmm. You won't see me complaining.....

    Add: Of course it's different with my wife. She might kick me in the nuts if she catches me looking around too much and drooling.

    personally i still prefer just those simple 2-piece na either white or black bikinis for the girls...

    para naman may maiwan for the imagination.

    I know someone in college who went to school wearing a black string bikini bottom under her all white uniform.

    First off, Bikinis are made of different material. I haven't seen translucent bikinis, but there are translucent lingerie.

    Second, "in public" is ok as long as the place is appropriate. You won't see people go to church clad only in either one.

    So no big deal. They want to show off their bodies, go ahead, fine by me.
