Tamiya RC Question

I just want to know if this is a good buy,

Tamiya 1/10 scale Subaru WRC2003 Glow Engine and Controller (REC) for 16K

ano ba ibig sabihin nun REC?

di ko alam, pang electric lang ako e.

bili ko nun sa 1/10 Subaru WRC 99 plus remote control and start-up accessories (gas, filler, starter, batteries, paint para sa body), umabot ng 18k lahat. Brand new sa Lil's Hobby Shop. Ewan ko lang kung tumaas na ngayon.

REC i think is remote electronic controller.

Brand new yun nabanggit kong RC...actually sa Tokyo ko bibilin yan. Pero pag balik ko kanina sa store wala na yun package na yun may iba ng package same car pero ang naiba ata yun chassis, yun nakita last friday di ko ma recall yun chassis pero yun kanina TGS chassis w/ expec controller FS12-SS engine.

Questions:

kung balak ba ipang race advisable ba bilin ang mga ready to run na kit?

ano kaibahan ng mga chassis na to:
TGS
TT-01
TB-02

i also saw RC same car (Subaru) electric powered sya pero mas mahal yun complete kit(w/ cotroller and charger) nya sa glow engine...akala ko mas mahal ang glow engine sa electric???

naitanong ko na to sa ibang RC forums kaya lang wala pa sagot e.

Prinsipe,
The chasis code is basically for the compatibility of parts. Since 4wd yang subaru, either belt driven or shaft driven yan. The last time I tinkered with a RC, the best chasis for me is the TL-01 coz ang dami parts available. I'm not sure whats good at present though.

may TB-02 na pala....mine is TB-01 chasis (Ford WRC)
yap mas mahal nga yung Electric Powered kesa dun
sa Glow Engine..dont know why...balak ko din kunin sana
yung Subaru Glow Engine..kaso masyado sa maintenance
palagi mo dapat ito nililinis, saka maingay hindi pwede sa
tirahan ko..hehehhe

ozcity, ala bang wenta RTR? Akala ko easiest to build one kaya maganda.

plano ko kseng bumili sana ng yokomo drift ready RC RTR. Pero meron din silang hindi RTR.

rec means reciever, try to look at the website of rc car action, marami din stores dito sa manila, check this out:

if u have experience building model, suggest ko wag rtr para you know the components of your car, nagsawa na kse ako kaka assemble so latest kit ko is rtr (hpi savage), i've been into rc for more than 10 years na, how about the evo chassis?
