"moscato" or "muscat" wines are usually sweet.

You may want to try Franzia. Get the one labelled "chillable red" (not the one labelled "california red"). 3L box ito with dispenser. Approx Php460-490. Seen them available at Puregold, Makro, & Pricemart
we had this last Sunday dinner at my best friend's house. CVT is right, smooth and no bitter taste.Originally Posted by CVT
best sweet red wine na try ko is from Temecula, CA ... di ko na maalala yung name pero parang may Muscat tapos Canelli yata, pero yung name Late Harvest, sarap :-)
hmm by sweet.. do you mean sugary?
if gusto mo ng sweet try stawberry and mango wine baka magustuhan mo.
at the risk of being sacrilidgeous, mompo is sweet too

Yup Mompo is sweet
Doesn't have a strong aftertaste too.
Novellino (the sweet variety) is also good. Just like drinking juice. Kicks you a few minutes after.
You can also try Merlot especially the thick jammy ones.
Spaetlese Lexia is also sweet. You can get this at the wine depot. 300+ per bottle I think, or thereabouts.
meron sale ngayon sa PriceMart na sweet, dry redwine. i forgot the name.
yup novellino and carlo rossi are too sweet for me already. merong novellino na sweet dapat yung ang hanapin mo.
i dont suggest dry wine... although masarap medyo... dry nga... heheheheOriginally Posted by erict
for me cabarnet sauvignon types of red wine are good! try mo rin chilean chiraz (syrah spelled in french)
chateau de crecy 850pesos lang pero okay okay siya... bordeaux siya 85%merlot, 15%cabarnet sauvignon year 2000
premium wines selection
kung medyo may budget...
chateau lalande poitevin (1998)
chateau cantenac sudre
chateau l'escadre
chateau larochecour
kung medyo splurge
chateau de lupe cholet
chateau lynch moussas - grand cru classe
sa commercial novellino is already sweet, franzia also is good mababa lang alcohol content nito, if you want to try a more exotic tatse there are wines sold at bagiuo using their produced, i tasted strawberry, blackberry both are good
OT: meron akong shirt dati "friends don't give friends white zinfandel" ..Originally Posted by just4u
Anyways .. if you don't like the red because you find it mapakla .. you can try chilling it ..
novellino became popular for its sweet wines. tyr mo din ang muscat as one poster suggested pero i think mas mahal yun.
kung gusto mo ng local, try basi (sugarcane wine) from ilocos. yan matamis talaga.![]()
