    Some of them's still alive but trapped, text messages were received from those buried alive. Let's pray that they get rescued in time.

    grabe parang nabura sa map yung lugar..may frend dad ko nakasama yung family sa victims...lets pray for them,saka sana mahinto ang mga calamity na nangyayari sa bansa,parang sunod sunod na kasi...

    ibig sabihin life's still exist after 48hrs na natabunan ng mga muds and rocks...sana naman mapabilis mobilization ng mga rescuers para ma retrieve yung andun sa ilalim lalo na ang mga batang estudyante.....

    i guess if there are air pockets under the mud (like if a wall doesn't collapse all the way or someone crawls under a table, one could survive for some time under there.

    although in all honesty i think i would rather be killed instantly than be trapped like that

    They can survive as long as there is air pocket..pero hindi rin sila tatagal ng walang tubig at pag kain.. I wonder bakit walang gumagamit ng "mud pump" para ma clear nila ang possible area na may buhay pa... As far as I know yung mga mga heavy duty mud pump na ginagamit sa drilling at yung mga reclamation project meron sila ganon equipment... Parang giant vacuum para lang ma clear kahit papano ang possible area na may tao... kesa naman manual ang pag hukay nila

    US Marines find ~50 survivors! Good news. Hopefully, more can be found.

    Edit: Also shows rescue teams need ground-penetrating radar for disasters such this one.

    Hmmm. Hopes were up too soon. No confirmation of anything yet.

    talagang may mahuhukay pa dun?sana nga may mag survivors pa kahit papano..pero grabe talaga ito..nakakalungkot kc yung mga nakinabang sa mga puno na dapat nsa bundok hindi naman mananagot sa mga buhay na nawala...

    Paano mapapadali ang rescue, eh, kokonti naman yung heavy equipment na ginagamit. Sa news footage, iisa lang yung payloader na nakikitang gumagawa. Manu-mano ang laban......

    Pero sabi sa balita, meron daw silang nahukay na buhay na manok, kasama ng mga bangkay.

    parang hindi ako satisfied sa mga team leader ng nag rescue.. Pati mga leader na kano parang kulang sa diskarte... Talaga yatang na tapat lang sa malas .. mga dalang equipment puro pang "detect" lang tapos pag na detect na wala naman silang magawa hindi rin ma rescue..Nakaka pag taka talaga na wala silang mud pump kahit papano nababawasan yung mga putik at na tatapon nila sa ibang lugar para maayos ang pag hukay nila..RIP nalang sa mga namatay
