    hi peeps,

Seems nagpapalit kami ng kitchen faucet every 2 years or so; etong latest namin the knob/lever broke off; pinambalot na lang ng basahan para mapihit :p

Ano pong brand yung medyo matino? i definitely don't need the prestige, brand name ek ek, basta matibay, doesn't need to look good.

    ok ba wassernisson?

    thanks!

    American Standard
    HCG
    Kohler

Eurostream seems okay too and is affordable.

For plumbing fixtures, its really good to spend for the good ones. No need to get the uber pricey branded ones, but at least the mainstream ones that are a notch or two above the cheap fixtures you see on-rack.

    Hi Sir,

The brand you mentioned is good plus it's not that expensive. You may visit home depots for other choices. By the way, how is your car with the grinding sound coupled with oil pressure lamp turning on? cos I am experiencing the same at the moment. You may also PM me sir. Thanks!

+1 on Dexterton. Prices are quite okay for their items when you compare it to the depots. They have a main office in QC.

Yes. You can go to their showroom and purchase directly. Prices aren't cheaper versus their retail shops though. But if ever and you'll be purchasing a lot (ex. baka mapabili ka na rin ng 300k na bed) might as well go there and try to get Dexter (yeah, his name is his company) himself to try to haggle a discount.

I'm shocked that bathroom/kitchen fixtures are so expensive pala! Our kitchen faucet broke so I was browsing at Shopee and Lazada and the faucets cost less than P500. When I went to Ace, the cheapest was P2000, the style I liked was almost P5000.

Why such a huge difference in price?!?!

the cheaper ones (several hundred to a thousing bucks) usually are made in china.
the uber-expensive ones (5-10K) are the ones you and me and your father, grew up with, back when there were no chinese products. they were made in the USA or germany (!!!) or other similar advanced manufacture. these latter are designed to last a generation.

the plumbing fixtures our house originally had, would last decades.
the cheaper chinese replacements, would last only a few years or even months, before they started acting up.

A general rule of thumb for plumbing fixture prices is that heavier fixtures are usually more expensive. At a glance, you can see a significant difference between stainless steel (SS) and chrome-coated materials. Pag magaan at mahal sya, just shy away from them.

You get what you pay for applies here ... go with midrange price ... look at the house brands of Wilcon ... Birke and Kasch ... Grohe, Kohler and Franke would be at the high-end ... try to avoid Pozzi-level fixtures ...
