the ebola strain we're dealing with right now is very difficult to detect because its usual symptoms aren't as apparent as before. So the sick dude might be a ticking time bomb.

This is what's called "connivance of the highest stupidity". The reason why the peace keepers have been isolated is simply because they are "presumed" to have been infected by ebola. Then here come the highest officials in charge, hindi naman daw nakakahawa pa or not yet infected kaya no need for safety gadgets. Eh kung hindi pa nakakahawa, why then quarantine ?

They should hold the highest control of spread as it's assumed the peace keepers are infected thus their quarantined.

This should shed some light to your questions. Medyo bad timing lang talaga pagpunta nila siguro or they should have stated established facts why they went there with no hazmats suits ;)

IMHO, they are not "stupid". They know the risks to themselves and to the public and for them it is negligible/acceptable. If the risks are not acceptable to other people then as previously stated they should cite their grounds/evidence for doing so.

Ibang usapan pag ang nagsabi na mali ang ginawa nila ay isang infectious specialist, then patibayan na lng sila ng kanilang mga rason.

Agree, kapag quarantine, eh di dapat quarantine nga. Pagkatapos nang 21 days, dun nia bisitahin para paunayan na wala na problema or dapat ikatakot mga makakahalubilo nila.
