    went to the Taiwan Expo at the World Trade Center this afternoon. they have on exhibit a special rice from Taiwan costing PhP150,000 per kilogram! it was shrink wrapped so i can't feel its texture or its smell.

    also, out of curiosity, bought a few kilos of rice of different types at an average cost of P200.00 per kg. will try it tomorrow if there's anything special about it.

    Nakita ko nga yan sa GMA news. Wow, P150k/kg. So isang cavan, P7.5M!

    May explanation ba, bakit ubod ng mahal?

    aba, dapat dobol masarap yan sa japanese rice sold before sa mga groceries at 70/kg


    long grain ba ito, like the pakistani/basmati (ito gusto ng mga arabo, steamed with wood na parang rekado, at super mahal)

    or

    rounded grain, like the australian calrose rice (cheaper , pero masarap sa lugaw)

    my guess, its a bag of viable sample of bio-engineered rice seeds.

    Akala ko dati, pinakamahal na bigas na yung binibili ko sa Japan dati * Php110++/kilo.

    Anyways, ito ata yung bigas na hindi na kelangang hugasan eh tapos mabango at malinis pa rin.
