lagay ko lang po dito since i dont know which forum ilagay

gusto ko po sana gumawa ng parking for 2 cars
i have no experience sa construction or anything like that

plan ko po gamitin is gi pipes 2" yung manipis lang to make this structure (any suggestion welcome)

and plan ko to have them welded to look like this

and lagyan po sana ng roof made of poly carbonate para magaan lang and matibay

i am also considering to use one of these...

    thanks

use BI pipes for the frames. polycarbonate looks good and nice if its new. pero pag tumagal, napakarumi, especially the edges. namumuo ang lumot and dirt in between the cavities.

a good substitute ay 'canvas' or tarpaulin, but not as good as the polycarbonate in terms of insulation (from sun's heat).

I would suggest a steel frame with polycarbonate sheet car park shelter. It would be strong yet lightweight. Also the polycarbonate will protect your car from the sun and rain while letting enough light through to make the area bright during the day. You can have a light installed as well to light up the area during night times.

    examples:

BTW the polycarbonate sheets look like this close up:

If you want to protect the car from heat though, polycarbonate can get quite hot underneath if the parking is poorly ventilated or its exposed directly to sunlight for a good part of the day.

I'd also agree with the steel structure; do take note also that it should be strong enough to resist typhoon grade gusts of wind.

thanks sir ghosthunter and sir vinj

those are very nice artistic designs... im also planning to use polycarbonate.. but i dont think the structure will look that good.. for sure wala wala yung mga bent steel... hehe dahil... im just planning to hire welder and some helpers to make it po.. hehe.. budget is very low and my goal is just to make it cost effective

yes sir.. vinj.. sa labahan namin... we used clear acrylic kaya nagreklamo labandera.. hehe thats why.. may trapal na ngayon sa taas ng acrylic.. we should have used tinted polycarbonate.. kaya plan ko now to use very dark colored polycarbonate... but gusto ko natural color lang sana.. yung black or brown.. dahil..may nadaanan ako small grocery and sa common area niya is blue polycarbonate ang nilagay.. hehe lahat na nasa paligid dun kulay blue... parang masakit sa mata.. hehe

    plan ko po is to
    use pipes for post.....
    use angle bar sa roof
tekscrew for metal for attaching polycarbonate..

tama po ba? or may mali sa idea ko lalo na sa tekscrew.. dun ako di sigurado eh.. hehe thanks

how far apart should each tekscrew be? di i have to put silicone after tekscrew?

Yes, you should put a dab of silicone on the tekscrew heads (cover them completely) so that rain water will not seep into the holes. Use plain clear silicone.

For the posts, dig up holes in the ground so that you'll have a foundation for your pipe posts. 1 meter deep holes will do, deeper if you wish .. then fill them up with a mixture of concrete. Makes your garage more sturdier and is a safeguard against gale force winds during typhoon season.

Tinted polycarb-sheet would handle most of the heat. My parking slot at my office is under a brown tinted polycarb shelter and the car is barely any warmer inside even if parked the whole day.

aside from the natural color (properties) it is also tinted?

polycarbonate is effective if it is used in a well-ventilated structure. It's heat-retention is higher than standard metal roofing.
Nevertheless, polycarbonate sheets is steel a good & nice material to use. aluminum strips are used to secure the panels using screws.

Meron nabibili na hanging lang ikabit mo Lang sa wall, but 1 meter Lang Ang lapad so hindd pwede pang kotse para lang service gate..

Another thing, Ilan years din Lang na effective for UV or heat yun poly, after nun mababawasan na rin yun heat reduction capacity niya, at least that's what the supplier said when I bought mine for ou patio..

Help sa planned parking for 2 vehicles... (engineers needed... help!)
