Read this article from ABS-CBN website...obviously an Estrada propaganda:screwloose: :screwloose: :screwloose:

SWS: Erap posts 64% trust rating in MM

recent survey conducted by the Social Weather Stations (SWS) showed that jailed former President Joseph Estrada enjoys higher trust rating than President Arroyo.

The SWS survey, commissioned by the United Opposition (UNO), showed that 64 percent of the 600 respondents have “much trust” in Estrada, compared to 18 percent who had “much trust” in Mrs. Arroyo.

Nineteen percent said they have “little trust” in the former president while 16 percent were undecided. On the other hand, 62 percent of the respondents said they had “little trust” in Mrs. Arroyo while 19 percent were undecided.

UNO president Makati Mayor Jejomar Binay said the result of the SWS survey, conducted from July 18-20, 2007 with a margin of error of plus or minus four percent, was not surprising.

“President Estrada was elected dramatically by the masses but unseated undemocratically by the very same conspiracy that again tampered with the people’s mandate in the 2004 presidential elections. For many Filipinos, President Estrada remains a symbol of hope and liberation from hunger and poverty,” Binay said.

Binay added that UNO commissioned the SWS survey as part of its continuing program to gauge public opinion.

The 600 respondents were from the Mega Manila area, which includes the National Capital Region (NCR) and the four provinces of Bulacan, Rizal, Cavite and Laguna.

“Those who said they had much trust in Estrada came from all brackets of the socio-economic classes, with 43 percent in the upper and middle classes (ABC) saying they trust Estrada strongly,” UNO’s statement said.

For First Gentleman Mike Arroyo, only eight percent of the respondents said they had “much trust” in him while 71 percent said they had “little trust” in the President’s husband. Eighteen percent, meanwhile, were undecided.

The same survey showed that 64 percent of the respondents responded negatively when asked if their welfare had improved under the Arroyo government.

UNO said 10 percent of the respondents in the survey belonged to the ABC economic class . while 67 percent belonged to the D classThe remaining respondents belonged to the E class.

Wow...how did 10 percent of those surveyed suddenly come out 43 percent that trust him???

10% of 600 is 60 persons for the ABC Class.

    43% of the 60 is 25.8 persons.

presentation of the results are selective and kinda insufficient to really have a conclusion. sabagay, ganyan naman lagi sa survey. ang nirerelease nung nag commission ng survey eh yung pabor sa kanila.

under the law, pwede pa ba maging presidente si erap?

with all the questions on GMA's legitimacy as president and accusations of corruption in the present govt, i'd still take GMA over Erap. lesser of the 2 evils ika nga.

Another friendly "survey" from your manipulative ex-president...This time from the Inquirer

SWS: 60% of Filipinos think Arroyo ‘toying’ with Estrada

MANILA, Philippines – -- Is ousted President Joseph Estrada a political pawn being toyed with by his successor, President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo? Almost 60 percent of respondents from Metro Manila and nearby provinces believe so, an opposition-commissioned Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey showed.

The opposition’s confidential Project Theodore showed 58 percent of 600 respondents from the National Capital Region, Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna and Rizal agreed with the statement: “President Macapagal-Arroyo is ‘toying’ with former President Estrada.”

    Twenty-four percent disagreed.

The respondents were surveyed in the wake of reports that political pressure was being applied on the justices of the Sandiganbayan Special Division that tried Estrada for plunder over the past six years.

The antigraft court is expected to render a decision on Estrada’s case this month.

The Philippine Daily Inquirer obtained a copy of the survey commissioned by former senator Sergio Osmeņa III but acceded to his proprietary rights as to what portions may be released.

The Inquirer reported Sunday that 48 percent of the respondents in “Mega Manila” believe Estrada should be given a presidential pardon “immediately” if the Sandiganbayan finds him guilty of plunder.

The United Opposition, on the other hand, has come out over the weekend with press releases saying Estrada enjoyed a much better trust rating than Arroyo, and that Estrada has been forgiven for any wrongdoing by 77 percent of the SWS survey’s respondents.

On Monday, the UNO media bureau released a story saying the SWS survey also showed that more respondents believed Arroyo and First Gentleman Jose Miguel Arroyo “enriched” themselves in power than those who believe Estrada did so.

The SWS said it undertook the survey from July 18 to 20 and released all the pertinent results. It said the survey had a margin of error of plus or minus six percent.

“We all know that there is political pressure being applied on the justices of the Sandigabayan. Don’t ask me where I got that information but we all have our sources,” Osmeņa told the Inquirer.

“An acquittal (for Estrada) will make life worse for (Arroyo). She can’t afford that to happen. People might say that if he was not guilty, why was he removed in the first place? So I said let us see how the people feel about this,” Osmeņa said.

Osmeņa said the opposition was releasing the results of the survey piecemeal to make sure each point raised was given due exposure.

“We will release the report in its entirety soon to show the people that we are not keeping any part of the survey from them,” he added.

“(Those in the administration) were actually the first ones who came out with ads telling the people to just accept the Sandiganbayan decision on Erap (Estrada). I had to ask, what do the people think about these ads?” he said.

Osmeņa said he needed quick feedback on the matter and this, he said, was one reason why the survey was conducted only in the Mega Manila area.

More like it they who are toying with people's mind...

One doesn't have to look far; yung dalawang anak nga ni Erap (Jinggoy and JV), ni hindi nagpapansinan.

Mahar Mangahas is the chairman and CEO of SWS, which conducted the survey, and he is related to one of the United Oppositions' leaders.

Sino ba linoloko niyo???
