backrgrounder muna I have an gold arowana pet, and it went into fasting it started last week, bale ayaw kumain so based on asking around maybe nagsawa na sa regular food niya which is market prawn, so the advised i got was to buy a different food, so last week bought super worms, crickets and feeder fishes, ang kinain lang is yun feedr fish..and mahina pa rin kumain...

so I bought 10 pcs bull frogs naman, I put it in a KFC bucket, just now one of our maid called me and last night daw nabuksan yun cover, so nakawala lahat...except for 2...hinde kasi sinabi s akin this morning before kami umalis...kasi sa kitchen ko tinago para hinde makita at magagalit wife ko....

I told our maids to go on a hunting expedition for the remaining escapees...

how to make frogs come out in the open? malilit lang kasi...I know that they need water, a puddle if I put water sa container then leave it overnight pupunta kaya sila doon...?

the bad news is hinde pa alam ng wife ko...damn!!! now I'm in trouble baka ako ang maging inihaw na palaka later....

aside from letting loose a python sa house....any suggestions?

Frogs are shy creatures and by nature nocturnal so the best time to catch them would be at night. Also, they love damp, wet and dark places e.g. bathrooms, under kitchen sink, etc. So IMO these would be the places you need to look first.

Catching frogs are not easy. You can't just put in bait somewhere e.g. a small pan and expect them to come in, eat then not jump out. You need to design a trap or something where they can get in but can't get out.

When I was young, I used to catch palakang bukid for food. For bait, I used worms skewered on the stem of the small talahib/grass which was then attached to a tansi/fishing line. Once the frogs clamp on the bait, they usually never let go. Unbeknowst to many, frogs are little greedy creatures when it comes to food: when it swallows/bites into something it likes, the likelihood of it letting go is small.

If you have a cat at home, let it loose: these furry friends of ours would "remove" the frogs from your home in no time.

Nic is right, kung may pusa rin kayo.

Put flytraps where there are damp places near where they were last seen...

    It's messy, though....

I could just imagine frog guts splattering all over the place when the trap triggers. :D

    chubby frog (kaloula pulchra).
by the way, kaloula pulchra along with bufo murinus, are introduced species to our country.
they are also considered as invasive species.

^cane toad - marami nito sa amin. nakakainis. ito yung umubos sa mga red swordtail population sa mini fishpond namin. naglalabasan kapag umuulan. i hate those critters. mahirap din kung pag-laruan ng mga aso kasi may lason kaya i dispose of these when i got the chance.

HELP!!! frogs on the loose in my house....
