    I've never heard of him in any Philippine History Textbooks. Why is that?

    Bakit kaya hindi nababanggit ito sa klase.

    The massacre was after the native males dressed themselves as women heading for church on a Sunday. Under their saya were bolos that they used to kill the Americans stationed in the place. The Balangiga bells were used to signal the start of the attack.
