the economy! it was much easier to make money than today. the kids still had so much respect of the elders and the students paid more attention in class. the country still had a little bit of natural resources left and the traffic was less congested
Things i personally miss:
- You could actually smell the pine trees when you went up to Baguio and John Hay was a clean R and R facility where we enjoyed "Stateside" goodies.
- My neighborhood playmates.
- My dad's box type Lancer with 13" mesh rims on Goodyear Wide Tread tires, and the his and hers 123 Benz of my lolo and lola (colored black and white respectively). All which would only need P 150 to P 200 to fill up the tank.
- Going to Greenhills after playing duckpins with my Tito and seeing the set-up cars.
- Maze Craze on the Atari and the original Nintendo Family Computer.
- The red PLDT phone (..."taltong bente singko lang ang aking kailangan...")
- My Mighty Kid sand Chuck Taylor sneakers which cost around P200 or less at the Shoe Expo in Cubao.
