do casas have spare keys of all the cars they sold stored somewhere? or won't they have to carve out a new key and then program it too?
if they went the casa route, it'll probably take the better part of the (following) day but it'll definitely less of a hassle and way cheaper too. but where's the fun in that?

My story of a locked out car. A few years ago at an airsoft game I got locked out of my car with all my stuff (wallet and fone). The game site was about 3hours away from my house, in a pretty secluded area in Bulacan. An airsoft buddy told me to just strip off the rubber seal in one window and ty to hook the doorlock and hope the immobilizer doesn't kick in. I decided to get the spare key instead. let me borrow his L300 van, first time I drove a vehicle with a column mounted shifter. Left around 2:30pm, got home around 5pm. Got my key, but forgot to get some money. Turns out the gas tank was nearly empty. Tried pawning off one of the airsoft guns in the van at a gas station and promised to return within the night. Luckily one of my buddies tagged along (after all he was the reason we got locked out). He's an active serving soldier. We decided to drop by a police station and explained our predicament. So there we were in airsoft uniforms (olive drabs & boots) walking into a police station. He first introduced himself to the duty officer with his serial number and unit and then I did the same (as a reserve officer). We asked for the station chief who luckily was there. We again introduced ourselves and explained our predicament. We told him we were in the area for a game, he asked where, we old him where and he exclaimed that he knows it. We asked if we could borrow some money for gas. He loaned us P1000, offered to leave one gun as a sign of good faith but he said he trusts us. we promised we will be back later. Finally retrieved my car around 9PM. Some of the players were still around waiting for us. Making sure my car was safe as the area was pretty secluded. Got the car, drove back to the station and paid the chief and saluted (he did outrank us). Got home around midnight na. Opened my fone and there where a lot of calls and messages from other players who were making sure we all got home safe.

My brother has locked out his keys inside his first car, a Mitsubishi Lancer EL, twice.
One is at a resort in Silang, Cavite. So he asked me to bring the duplicate key to them.
We were living in Concepcion, Marikina then so it took a while for me to get there.
All the while the engine is running. Buti di naubusan ng gas otherwise another problem na naman.
My own locked key incident happened in North Harbor in Tondo, Manila.
Susunduin ko parents ko coming from the province.
I have the key in the ignition nung lumabas ako sandali.
Can't remember how the doors got locked pero ayun nga, na-locked out ako.
My brother had to bring me the duplicate key from Marikina.
I only have a single keyfob for my Altis 2011 now.
It's good that it won't lock with only the key inside.
