they go around the workplace with the handset in their pockets, para kapag mag-ring, sagot nila agad, wherever they are in our multiloculated workplace.
upon quitting time, they sometimes forget it's in their pockets, because it's so small.
it's non-functional in their abode naman, because the marster is in the workplace.
when a colleague asked my opinion re. wedding gift for a couple moving into their first home,
i suggested,
bath ware, bedroom fare, and the un-dying plancha are fine, but my recommendation is an assorted set of light bulbs and tubes.
"what!"
"it's not that expensive, and they'll remember you the first time their house bulb conks out."
having a peep at their haus to see what light fixtures they have, will give you ideas of what the set should include.

ordinary house hold items that are not traditionally seen as wedding gift materiel.
ladder... tools and tool kits... bulbs and tubes... drones (to check the roof!)... hi-tech sungkits and trimmers... garden maintenance stuff...
how many times have we lamented, "... if only we had ...!"
... nagparinig ako kay wifey... kombi lego or porsche lego... no dice. "deaf as a doornail!"
