Emos are really just goth, but for pussies.

It would also be wrong to confuse both. At least some goths are artistic and have contributed heavily to pop culture. These emo kids just bitches about life. I'm not hating though if they want to live their life that way I don't care. imagine a 40 year old emo.

Many of them fall under alternative rock. I like some of the music. Don't care much for the lifestyle of the people that follow them.

I mean I also like some psytrance and I'm certainly no treehugger.

You'll be confused what genre this is. this is listed as emo music. at the end, it became techno. labo.

They're ok. In Yahoo Music, they fall under Alternative rock vs Adult Alternative Rock.

Heck. I loved the *** Pistols during the early 80's. In the Philippines, it's either that or disco and I can't stand disco. At least in the US, there was still metal and classic rock to pick from.

Just like any music genre, I'll sift through thousands of songs and end up with a handful of keepers, including some emo songs.

It's just the latest version of teen angst.

That's true. But, just about every aspect of music today seem dirty..... unshaven face, shaven head, tatoos, baggy clothes, beat up yo skanky ho, gangbanger wannabe's. That's our kids' cool stuff nowadays.

Let's face it. We've been going downhill since what, the 20's?

I'm sure the the kids now would be shocked at what their kids will like later on....

I listened to some of these bands in High School. I was just not aware they're emo. It's just the current reiteration of emo rock which I can't stand.

    I guess I've mellowed out a bit...

I can't remember many of them. I've gone pretty much alternative and classic rock plus some psytrance; mostly mainstream.

as for the emo lifestyle...ewan. im stuck in the 80's/early 90's...hindi na ako maka relate...

    natutuwa ako sa hitsura nila...

ewan ko lang ba. kahit kenkoy dating nila hindi ko din sila pwede pintasan kasi nun teenager pa ako may mga sinasakyan din akong mga trends, just like all of us.

    mellowed out?

I dont know about the 80's but in the 90's, teen angst consists of trying out juts, burning rubber tires, and riding bmxs/skateboards until the wee hours of the morning (guilty here). and of course, nirvana. looking back it was kind of stupid.

well, at least kids today don't turnover cars or randomly break windows much anymore. They are now busy kissing the same *** and inflicting self-injury .

One thing I dig about the current rock culture are emo chicks, or is it goth?. The sight of two girl kissing without care is a bit exciting. kaso yung iba jailbait!

    Emo-schmemo.

Back in the 90's it was either grunge or hip-hop... in the 80's it was slow rock or hardcore... in the 70's, you were either rock or disco.

Noses were broken, kids were beaten up, gangs ran around getting into fights... for what?

    Who the hell cares?

I hate Emo music... wimpy, self-involved stuff with much less substance than indie music or the singer-songwriter rock I grew up with, but I don't hate Emo kids.

They're kids. They're stupid. I don't really care. It's their lives, not mine.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

I don't hate them or even give a f*#k about it. Same reason I don't want others hating me for the music genre I chose. Kanya-kanyang form of self-expression lang yan. RESPECT bro.
