Hi guys,
Been out of the loop for some time now. Napadaan ako ng DLSU taft last month, giniba na pala yung study hall na nasa harap? Di ba parang early 2000's lang yan itinayo? Some buddies tell me the spent something like 30m putting it up.

Yeah. I was surprised too when my friend told me that they demolished the conservatory. I saw it for myself when I passed by Taft recently. I'm more disappointed with the Football field, it's the last big patch of greenery at the campus.
Sabi saakin bubuhayin yung drive way in front ng ls building.
True na disappoint din ago ng tinayuan ng building ying football field. Remember ko pa yung rotc days a field 😁

IMO, tama lang yun pag construct ng Henry Sy Hall sa football field to expand the still growing student capacity. Although I do bemoan yun disappearance of the "last green patch inside DLSU", the Henry Sy grounds has some spots of green grass pa naman where students can make tambays.
The study hall has been demolished to bring back the old DLSU vibe pagalam ko. Yun tipong driveway surrounded by potted plants and all.
Sana bilhin nila un McDonalds sa tabi tpos gawin nila integrated student cafeteria with floor levels and not just a dedicated McDonalds joint. Funny as it is, DLSU is very much in the green in their financial statements.
The Conservatory was built in 1997 i think. Got to use it for a while before September 1998. So at least 15 years din ang P30m for the conservatory.
