for me, first the church should keep its hands off the government population control programs. Next, long term contraceptives must be made available like those under-skin implants which stays effective for months to years before needing replacement.

seriously, medyo mataas na talaga population ng pinas. and bineblame ko dito is yung walang work mga tao.. alam mo na favorite na pampalipas oras yan. and dapat may magandang campaigne ang government.

tulad ngaun alam ko libre ang condoms sa mga health centers pero d naman nila pinopromote. so d alam ng karamihan.

malabong e pro promote ng gov't ang artificial contraceptives......baka di nila makuha supporta ng simbahan. Ganyan naman sila eh....kung makakasama sa boto nila, either makikisama sila or di nila pakikialaman......(juan flavier lang ata OK na politician sa Artificial contraceptives eh)

i think one of the reasons why the 1987 constitution allowed only 1 term for the president so that the president can have the political will to make hard decisions, without having to worry about re-election. kaso lang puro walang tuhod nauupo sa pwesto. lalo pa ngayon si gma ay re-electionist so ano pa ba, himod ng todo kay cardinal sin. pati nga si manalo bj na nya eh, makakuha lang ng blessing for 2004!

nung nawala si erap kala ko ok na. pero nung nakita ko style ni gma, di ko nagustuhan kasi ang style of governance nya eh "policy making by press release". yun bang pag may idea sila i-leak muna nila sa press para tignan ano reaction ng tao. pag di maganda reaction, bawi-bawi sila. tapos nung announce nya di na sya tatakbo sabi ko baka maging ok, kasi wala na siya political agenda. pero ganun pa din. lalo na ngayon tatakbo sya, puro politics na lang. so ngayon pa ba nya sasabihin na need natin ng population control. malabo, lalo na 2 etits nakasubo sa kanya, kay sin at kay manalo!

impose tax on the Catholic church & other religious groups na mahilig maki-alam sa mga programa ng gobyerno.
kaya lang takot ang mga pulitiko, baka walang boto silang makuha mula sa mga ito. lintek naman talaga!

Yung mga jobless, homeless na may siyam na anak na nakitira
sa barong-barong o sa kariton, payagan silang mag-tayo ng
kanilang mga bahay at barong-barong sa Church owned land
such as the Archbishop's Palace sa Shaw at sa mga sprawling
campuses ng mga Catholic schools such as Ateneo, Poveda,
Assumption.
If the Church always says that it is on the side of the poor,
then they should put their money where their mouth is.
Otherwise, they should shut up and just allow the government
to institute population controls.
