Aside from the advantage na mas mura siya i-replace (since isa nga lang) ano pa ba ang maganda sa pagkakaron ng isang wiper?
Hindi naman sya pleasing to the eyes.
So fad na ba 'to?

Touring Car kuno! Very annoying to have a wiper in the middle of your windshield while driving. I'm happy having wipers that's resting properly at the bottom. Kahit mauso pa 'yan, I wont buy a car with a wiper like that!
Cars nowadays ahve wipers tucked below the car's hood for aero purposes I think. 1 or 2 doesn't matter for me as long as gumagana properly.
But if 1 is cheaper to maintain (good for consumers) and make (good for makers), then I'm all for it.![]()
Fasten your seatbelt! Or else...Driven To Thrill!
The wiper blades may be cheap to replace. But on mono-wiper Benz models, there are some mechnical bits that just go boom.. (like the brittle aging plastic gears). And then your retracting function bites the dust. Last time I read, parts cost was around 5k. The W201 early models have non-retracting monowipers, the later ones are retracting .. meaning the wiper arm extends at a certain position, to effectively wipe a large portion of the windshield.
Yeah .. its kinda corny and plain dumbass stupid seeing people convert their cars to single wiper set-ups and not thinking about how are they gonna see thru all that rain!
