Sa isang airplane nagkaroon ng engine problem. So mag emergency landing.

Hehe...

You're talking about the people who fly "economy".

They fly economy to save money.

They are transferred for free to business class through no fault of their own.

Cup noodles are free in business class. If they take some home, they now have one extra meal they don't need to pay for.

    That's just being practical.

Just like bringing home the free slippers, soap, toothpaste, toothbrush and shampoo from hotels. You don't need them now, but down the line, it'll save you a few bucks.

It's not like they're ripping up the seat cushions and trying to take them home. Like stealing pillows from a hotel, foul na yun.

Yeah, nakakahiya kung sobrang obvious at pinag-piyestahan, but if someone gives you something for free, take it. Just don't take everything and leave nothing for anyone else. Kung ganyan, foul yun talaga.

In the service industry, these are throwaway items. You expect the customer to either use them up or take some home. So complete depletion is worked into the billing.

They make these things cheap and disposable because they expect people to either break them or take them. And it saves weight. Even the pillows are chosen to be cheap to replace (depends, though... I've not flown long distance for a long time).

Two birds with one stone, put the airline's name on these things, and they're souvenirs that build name recognition amongst the people who visit that other person's house and see the items.

When my mom went on a European tour, she saw what the Pinoys are capable of doing.

During the Breakfast buffet, the Pinoy tourists will make-'BAON" sandwiches so that they will have free lunch. Nagalit mga Americans and complained how 'the buffet tables looked like a Hurricane went through it every morning'. The Japanese guests tahimik lang.

The next day, hiwalay na yung Pinoy buffet table and that of the other tourists. May bantay na.
