    Dati ko pa iniisip ito..
When do you charge your phones?
Dapat ba drained and battery? or charge it whenever you want?
A lot of people always tell me na dapat drained or low batt na para daw hindi agad masira ang battery.

Ako usually pag bago ang phone i follow that rule, pero pag nagtagal tagal na i charge it whenever i want..

May basehan ba na mas maganda mag charge ng battery pag drained talaga? im thinking bakit hindi yun nakalagay sa user/product manual..

    kayo ba?
    inputs?

    Thanks!

i charge in when the low batt warning comes out, but there are unavoidable times that i need to charge it bago pa mag lowbatt.

    Depends on your battery type.

NiCD battery requires frequent draining to prevent "memory effect"

HiMH batteries do not require frequent draining but it would benefit from occasional draining to regain "lost" capacity (example, every three or six months)

Lithium batteries do not require draining at all. In fact if you drain them, you will shorten it's useful life by damaging/reducing it's total capacity each time it is fully drained. Lithium batteries benefit from more frequent recharging even if the battery is only partially drained.

Whenever I charge my iPhone I usually do it overnight. Makakasama ba yun sa battery? Pansin ko kasi sa iPhone pag overnight syang chinarge mas mahaba battery life nya compared sa 2 or 3 hour charging until full.

Most (if not all) current gadgets use Lithium batteries because they have bigger storage capacity than older NiCD or NiMH batteries.

It shouldn't since most modern Lithium-ions have a built-in circuitry that prevents over-charging, so you can easily leave it charged for a long period (even days). The circuitry prevents charging when a certain voltage is reached, and only allows re-charging when the voltage goes down a certain threshold.

Depends. There are times na kailangan ko i-charge even if the warning hasnt come out yet. Mga 2 bars left, iccharge ko if I'm on for a trip.

Else, I wait for the warning to come out saka ko pa lang iccharge. Sometimes its unavoidable too na mahayaan mo madrain yung phone mo.

I charge it when I notice the indicator is down to 1 or 2 bars. When the low battery alarm goes off when I'm away I use my car charger. Batteries nowadays are much cheaper, no need to worry about shortening their service life prematurely due to overcharging or undercharging. Chances are that the call you're unable to make because you didn't have enough charge is more important than the cost of the battery.

di na uso yan dapat drain. pang jologs na lang ng cellphone yun ganun most cphones now lithium na batt so charge it whenever there's a chance pero once a month idrain mo.

kahit mga laptops hinde na rin uso yun aalis yun plug sa outlet dahil masisira daw batt eh automatic shut off na naman pag full charge na hinde na ma overcharge

Thanks sir. Ginagawa ko rin yung once or twice a month na almost drained, then charge overnight ulit. Recommended atang ganoon ang gawin.

Pero for old fashioned Nokia phones, may so-called "memory" ang battery so kailangan near empty talaga before i-charge.

I dunno kung anong type ng batt ng N70 ko dati pero habang tumatagal mas umiikli battery life nya. I just don't know if it's a fake batt though.

I have phone chargers in my home, car and office. I usually use my phone as a portable hotspot for my iPad, if not, it is most of the time connected on data, so I need to keep it topped off every chance I have. I also keep it on the charger overnight.

I know I'd probably use up the battery's charging cycles but that's the price I have to pay to be always connected.

always charge your phones peeps at wag ng paabutin sa drained status. You don't know when will an emergency strike. Wala na yang mga rule rule na yan and even if you do own a Nokia 5110 these days which uses Ni-MH type of battery eh di bili ka na lang ng spare.

Iririsk mo pa ba buhay mo sa isang batterya ng telepono? :D

+1 for this. I try to make sure all my phones, as well as laptops, tablets, and other comm devices are topped up all the time. You'll never know when something will crop up, or when an important call would come in.

I also make sure I have chargers at home, the office, in my car,a as well as USB charging cables.
