If it happened to me...assuming the burns aren't that bad, i would probably let it slide. Pero depende -- aksidente ba talaga, or reckless/negligent yung waiter? Ibang usapan if it's the latter.

At the very least, the resto should offer some compensation(as mentioned above)

Kung hindi naman basang basa na kailangan umuwi o bumili ng bagong damit, I would not make a big fuzz over it.

Isipin mo na lang maswerte kayo not waiting tables. Don't make life any harder for them. Nobody wanted that accident to happen

i'd be happy if they offered a change of wardrobe, just so person can get dry again. t-shirt and slacks?

and be happy, we were the ones seated and not the one bringing the bowl of soup.
