The Camp Creek Road fire has so far killed 68 with 631 still missing. This is the deadliest wildfire in California history. Not to mention the damage that ensued.

This woman just barely got out. She had to stay behind to make sure that the horses in her ranch were safe.

This male nurse used his pickup to save lives. Melted every plastic part.

Kudos to these everyday heroes.... and to all the thousands of brave fire fighters fighting this disaster.

    Here's more:

It hasn't rained seriously in cali for the last 3 or 4 years. Water level is precarious and everything is dry. You can literally start a fire by rubbing stones!

Fire is nature's way of renewing the forest. It has been happening for millions of years. It just so happens that man came into the picture in the last 100,000 years .... and started complaining about it.

"we have not been on this earth as a species, long enough to know what 'too frequently' means."

the late prof punongbayan (?) said something like, "it is nature doing its thing. and the best we can do, is to keep out of its way".
