    Made in China kasi

This past Saturday, an entire apartment building in Shanghai collapsed. To be fair, the building was under construction and thus unoccupied, but it's still a minor miracle that there was only one fatality.

Sounds like there was a problem with some nearby flood prevention walls at the Dianpu River, but there's no hard evidence as to why this huge building simply fell over. Anyway, here are some sweet pictures of the architectural carnage.

What foundation? Looks like the entire building was just bolted to the foundation with a few tubes, instead of the supporting structure being tied into it with reinforcement bar...

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

you have to give credit for the integrity of the rest of the building though, it's still mostly intact.

But in fairness tumatayo pa ung building sa likod.

To be fair, that building was like thirty or forty years old... built on sinking Manila ground.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

Pinatong lang yata yan eh. Wala ako nakikitang base. Dapat pile foundation na yan. Parang lego house lang.

Nope, iba yan. If you do a search you can find a video of that building in manila that collapsed. It started to tilt dangerously before it collapsed so people were evacuated.

From parking exit, right after the U turn, yung likod niya river. It must have been really nice when it was newly built. Ngayon mukha ng haunted house.

Ruby Tower was located on T. Alonzo St., it collapsed during the earthquake of 1968. The building that tilted before collapsing was located on Juan Luna St., near Padre Rada St..
