hello sirs and pretty mams again,

just wanna ask for tips and tricks for driving here in manila, im from baguio (errr not sa main town sa mejo matarik na bundok ako nakatira ) and recently relocated here , im not really used to traffic kasi sa highway lang ako pinagdadrive and watching the gitgitan sa edsa, at mga bus parang nakakatakot oag ini-imagine ko sarili ko feeling ko masasagasaan ako or baka ako pa makasagasa o makabangga.

    thanks!!

my best tip for you is to leave your car at home.....
otherwise, try to navigate the roads muna during sundays (medyo bawas ang makukulit), until such time na masanay ka na sa kanila.

Where exactly in the metro ka ba mapapadalas?

iba iba kasi eksena sa kalsada dito sa manila. Idagdag mo pa mga schemes/modus ng bawat TE ng mga LGUs

good luck! the traffic looks daunting at first pero it's not too bad once you get used to it. just be more mindful of other vehicles (always check your side and rear view mirrors). drive defensively muna; saka ka na makipag-gitgitan after a few weeks/months.

Try mo na rin mag aral ng alternate routes sa mga dadaanan mo.

Dito sa Manila you always need to plan your trips as much as possible. Kaysa ma stuck ka sa loob ng car dahil sa traffic sa dadaanan mo, much better kung naka lakwatsa ka pa ng konti

Susmaria, yun pala. Ingat while drving along nueve de febrero, that area is heavily populated. Buy a Metro Manila road map, and scan thru it if you have time. Or explore google maps, it will help you a lot in figuring out short cuts or alternative routes. As for the traffic situation, re: PUV's. It's a practise makes perfect thing. There is no "ideal" way to drive around Metro Manila. You would just have to learn as you go along, having a lot of patience helps too.

I'd say yes for that route kung gusto mo umiwas ng EDSA, kaso tama si LSB medyo masikip kasi dyan and populated

i suggest find an option A, B and C na way.

as for driving, defensive driving muna for newbie drivers sa manila.

    Baguio raisin bread

I agree with other posters. Drive around manila on a Sunday first when there is less traffic. I do not recommend that you pass nueve de febrero, too much people crossing the road, sidecars and jeeps etc. It seems dangerous a route for a female driver to take.

Take edsa then pioneer, might traffic sa edsa but fastest way to Shaw in my opinion.

If you go through the nuebe de pebrero area, watch out for kids. As was said before, the area is heavily populated. That area also floods. Traffic can also get really snarled there. You might be better off taking highways like Edsa. Just take it easy and be mindful of the buses and motorcycles. I find these two to be the most dangerous vehicles on Edsa.

There is another route that leads to Shaw, and runs parallel to EDSA. I know that route, but I just dunno the road names.

First exit of that route is beside Cherry Foodarama, second exit is the Archbishops residence.
