That's my usual True Value na puntahan when i'm waiting for my wife after work. Maka-hoard nga ng citronella mosquito patch.

Are their lubricants and detailing stuff on sale as well? That's one thing i never see on sale at True Value (or any hardware shop) as these are probably consigned. Maka daan nga bukas bago ako mag grocery.

Hmmm... missed the sale at True Value Alabang. They had LEDs going for 10-20% off. Only got three before the sale ended.

Wonder if this True Value is offering the same discounts? I need maybe half-a-dozen more.

What brand of LEDs? The past few weeks several brands (including Philips) have been on sale at all the hardware stores i've gone to (around 10% off).

GES. Bang-for-the-buck in terms of lumens per peso. The 3w is worth about 290 lumens and is rated for 40,000 hours with a 5-year warranty (some LEDs rated for 20k) thanks to the way they built the heatsinks. Not quite as bright as a Phillips 5w CFL, but in the ballpark for cheaper 5w CFLs. 375-379 on regular price, at 10%, I bought them for about 345 or so. I bought a 2w for our desk lamp, too, at just 315.

We leave them on all night and at worst, they get slightly warm. Starting to replace all my recessed CFLs with them. Still see-sawing on whether to do the open ones, also, since the throw is narrower than a CFL.

Yup, saw this at True Value ATC over the weekend bro...

Hindi pa rin ako ma-convert (bumili pa nga ako ng limang 11W na CFL at P99 each )... Still waiting for the economies of scale to settle in.....

The two LEDs i have at home are also on the recessed light housings due to the more limited throw. I was also looking at the ones that replace the halogen lights and they seem promising.
