while waiting para sa island hopping trip namin, napansin ko ito sa may Station 3. ang baho talaga ng singaw ng tubig na papunta sa beach area. to think na may mga naliligo mismo sa may area na yon. meron din doon sa may tapat ng D'Mall na mas malaki, ang baho din sa may area. meron din sa may station 1 pero medyo parang tinago nila, pero halata na ganito rin dahil bumabalong talaga yong tubig doon sa may beach.
nagtataka lang ako kung bakit pinababayaan ng DENR ito, to think na bago ka makapasok ng boracay island ay kailangan magbayad ng Php50 na environment maintenance fee daw. saan napupunta ang binabayad? at bakit parang walang pakiaalam ang mga negosyante doon na mabilis na nasisira ang boracay beach dahil sa mga ito. last time na nagkaroon ng water testing ang DENR ay pasado daw sa coliform presence ang water ng white beach (????).
to think na pinangangalandakan ng ating gobyerno na world class ang boracay e talagang nakakahiya pag nakikita itong neglect na ito. ewan ko, di ko na maisip pa kung ano pa pwedeng sabihin. kaya never talaga ako nag-invite ng mga kaibigan na foreigner para pumunta dito sa pinas, nakakahiya lang. ay kamote

please refrain or rather abstain from calling Boracay "bora"
I always hear people nowadays addressing our beloved "boracay beach" as bora or
bora -bora (maybe beacause of the stupid, now defunct show abs - cbn aired ?)
fyi bora bora or bora beach is a beach located somewhere in French Polynesia.

October 13th, 2007 11:04 PM #13nagkaroon na ng investigative report about the trash of bora... andaming nagpupunta diyan year round, where do you think all the waste go??? yes they import or get the goods form manila, form caticlan, kalibo, roxas and nearby town but where do they put all the waste...
sayang ang ganda ng bora, yan ang isang bad pinoy mentality, nilulubos lubos nila ang isang price catch pero indi naman inaalagaan...
years ago bora is considered a virgin beach, a paradise, pero ngayon masyadong ng commercial andami ng tinayong hotels and resort...
i havent been to amanpulo yet, i heard it also has a white fine sand like that of bora, yet its more pristine...does this still hold true?

October 14th, 2007 09:39 AM #19A couple of years after the Boracay water scare, I went back to Boracay. My first return trip since my original one in the early 90's (when the place was paradisical, people were naked everywhere, and water and electricity were oh so scarce).Went for a swim early in the AM only to find that the water stank! Don't remember if it was a sewer smell or a human waste smell but it smelled ... bad!So sorry but I'm not going back there anymore.
