Nakakaasar.

    it depends...

if you are on a showbiz talkshow, the use of English seems trivial and even funny (Kris' downfall).

but if you are in a business / lifestyle / political interview... then the preferred language is really English (since that show most probably will be shown outside of the Philippines).

plus, it is one way of practicing the use of English. this is an era of globalization... IMO there is no room for pety "patriotism" for the use of Filipino as the language in schools / business / government / etc. plus of course, printed matter is more readable in English.

    Yeah, Lah!

Nakakatawa nga lang minsan yung mga Congressional sessions conducted in English, mali-mali yung pronunciation at diction. Makes for very good sound bites, hehe.

IMO, there's nothing wrong with using English as a formal method of instruction or official communication. It's one of our advantages as Filipinos over other nationalities. Last I heard, English is only the third most prevalent language in the world, the most widely spoken being Mandarin Chinese.

english is the universal language, but please to those who possibly cant speak straight english or having a hard time composing themselves in a manner of conversing or speaking in english fluently, refrain from it, mixing it up with tagalog would make it sound off...

if you want to deliver yourself in a more respectable mean, speak audibly in tagalog and make yourself dignified as a true filipino
