Elsie Gaches in Muntinlupa? Don't know if its still there... but it's a depressing place, and I think it's also government run.

PGH has a psych ward, but I don't know the costs for long term stays. I have a few friends who still work there.

What's the age and case? Do you need this as a stay-in service, or merely for intervention (teaching living skills, etcetera...)

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

What is the condition of the patient you want to admit?

UST has it's 'Community Center' which deals with psychiatric cases.

The patient has to be assessed by a UST psychiatry consultant [take your pick, we have lots] first to see if the patient is a candidate for admission.

UST's phone number is 7313001. Ask the operator who the psychiatrists are and their respective schedules. Or just have yourself connected to the 'UST TR'. Ask the staff nurse who the psychiatrist of the month is.

I am pleasantly surprised that NCMH isn't a bad as I imagined it to be. The place is HUGE! It's like the size of a small village and it doesn't feel like you're in the city with all the greenery. Also, EVERYONE was so nice! I got lost so the guard escorted me to the building and refused to accept the gas money I was giving him.

I went to the pharmacy (which was HUGE), another guard walked me to where I was supposed to go. This is NOT what I expect from government employees (accommodating). Price of meds was half nga sa Mercury pero meron isa na mas mura pa mag PWD/SC discount. Wala din pila sa pay pharmacy. Some were getting meds for FREE so I asked if I can get mine for free and the staff said for patient only, so nagkatinginan kami ng cousin and I said I will pay na lang HAHAHAH!

I am not sure how it is nga lang for those that are confined. If the rooms have aircon and comfortable. I passed by an area na no AC and there was a man that was catatonic

I think the last time I dealt with government was when I got my postal ID and the employees were just meh, di naman masungit but not accommodating.

Para sa patients kaya yun tennis court or for staff?

I used to be scared to go to NCMH pero natuwa talaga ako na the place feels calm with the vast land and greenery. Saka parang time warp with the old buildings. Meron din kaya silang pool? hehe

I heard the tennis court is open to everyone Naman daw. There's a club there that's already been established years before pa.

Anyone who knows a mental institution?
