Malapit na ako sumuko sa manual na pagbubunot ng damo dito sa backyard namin.
Thus, I'm thinking about buying a motorized grass cutter, like this one:
However, I know next to nothing about these machines. Could anyone give advice on what brands are good and reliable, which have passable aftersales support, how to maintain these things, whether I should get one with a circular or rectangular blade, and any other pieces of info you think might be helpful. Salamat ng marami.
By the way, the area I need to maintain contains around 2,300 square meters of fast-growing grass. Sa manual method kasi using itak, matatapos pa lang ako sa harap, mataas na uli ang damo sa likod
mikey, if there is a kawasaki brand, try that. According to the hardware store that I bought the grass cutter for my farm, ok ito kasi some parts are shared with the kawasaki motorcycle, so meron available parts. 2nd, if you plan to use it for your lawn/grass, get the nylon. The metal blade type is for shrubs or plants that have some stiff, wooden twigs and branches. Anyway, the brand new models now come with both nylon and metal blades.
We also use this kind of grass cutters. Ok ang Kawasaki, avoid the Fuji-something brand, hirap ng parts. Yung rectangular blade alam ko pang malalaking talahib while yung circular blade para sa maliliit na grass yata, I might be wrong though. Also yung rectangular blade, pwde mo pa i-sharpen pag mapurol na.
Okay, thanks guys. Parang Kawasaki nga yung nakita ko sa Ace Hardware nung nagpunta ako sa SM Pampanga, at nagustuhan ko yung rectangular blade nya dahil mukhang pwede ngang i-sharpen pag mapurol na. I think I'll go for the one with the metal blade since our backyard hasn't been landscaped yet, so the grasses that grow there aren't the user-friendly type, but wild grasses and all other sorts of weeds.
I'll try to find one at our local hardware stores and compare their prices.
meron din ata honda na grass cutters. you might want to give it a look.
we're using Robin grass cutter sa farm namin for almost 3 years, so far wala naman major problem except for upod na clutch & mapurol na blades.
advise ko sa metal blades -- pag mapapayat lang ang damo at less than a foot ang taas, suggest ko ung 8-blades or 6 blades. pag makapal talaga ang damo, either 3-blades or 2-blades ang gamitin mo.
mas madaling hasain ang 2-blades or 3-blades kaysa sa 8-blades. pwede ka rin gumamit ng nylon, yun lang para lang 'to sa bermuda grass na less than 5 inches ang taas.
