August 12th, 2006 11:14 PM #1Di ko din kabisado. There are also several variants of innocenti. Check mo na lang 'to if you're curious enough...->

During his term here with ILO, a German friend brought in his innocenti. Except for the the color (his was green w/ balck interior), rims and hubcaps (which was suppose to bear the innocenti logo), everything else in the link was exactly what my friend brought in. Take note of the grille, lamp rims, side markers, bootlid, front & rear badges & interior trims. Being an expat, he loved to see the country. He said he was able to bring his car as far as pagudpud in the north, down to port of matnog in the south. His car was not as good looking as the one in the link, but when I took it for a spin, man! wasn't it a good ride!
So much for innocenti... just f.y.i. and everyone else'.

Yup, there are a lot of variants for the innocenti, & because their production was short lived (1965 - 1975) & that "The Innocenti versions were often both better built and more luxuriously appointed than their UK counterparts" (according to http://www.austin-rover.co.uk/index.htm?inniindexf.htm), they have become a true rare beauty.
I told my cousin to go for an innocenti project here and I think we would be going that direction, but instead of doing a Mini innocenti 1001 (a project which my cousin failed to finish), we'll be doing the mini cooper 1300/export where parts are not that hard to find in italy. Thanks to Sir Esarc, that was really a good suggestion.
To the rest of the mini lovers here, you could also explore other models for your project. I would also like to see a Morris Mini-K (Australian mini. K - Kangaroo) and a mini-wolseley 1000 (South African mini) here in the country.

Sir if you want to see a Mini K 1100cc Aussie mini, I have one here in the house. It's an authentic one! We got to verify the VIN plates and it checks out! It's nice to know that you are a fan of the older minis, very few people nowadays trully appreciates the earlier minis.

I have seen minis on the 250K range which are pretty decent and others have spent more than a million to their mini but are still unsatisfied. Almost limitless kasi ang pwede gawin sa auto na ito, that is why some project cars never end, kasi pag-nakuha mo na yung gusto mo, meron ka nanaman gustong gawin ulit. But I guess if you'll just set a target to what you want to achieve, that would also set the budget that you would need.

Wow! what year is that? sir, is it ok if I pay you a visit? can you just PM me your address and number coz Im looking for a rare mini project myself and maybe you could help me start with it.
Actually, just last week I went to a friend of mine who is also into minis. I found in his garage an Innocenti Mini-T, bad thing about it was it would need major restoration work and I would still need to convince him to sell. He also have this 2 RSPs which are still untouched and a few anniversary editions.
Thanks for the info sir batman. Now I know that there is a Mini-K here in the country. Now, who else has a rare mini here?
