MB 190d 2.5 newbie

Hi to all,
I'm hoping to get my first MB car nextweek. It's a 190d 2.5 non turbo 1987 model. Saw it the other and drove it a bit...based on my drive it ran well though it isn't regularly used by the owner nowadays. from a cold start, 5-sec heater then 1-click start up. engine seems fine, but then again I know nothing of MBs, the interior is bearable though i'd prob'ly have new upholstery set-up.

Can anyone advise me on the quirks I need to watch out for? shocks have just been replaced, wala naman kalampag and the owner uses it every other week on a long drive to pangasinan. Di pa naman daw nag-overheat sa dami ng byahe nya.

As for the interior, can anyone recommend a good shop who knows how to do this at a reasonable cost?

Familiar interior shops are extreme in Marikina and Seatmate in Mandaluyong.
